Food Plots
In May we started on a 14-acre piece recently purchased as a hunting property. The woodlot was a mixture of oak, maple, and black walnut. We harvested the mature trees while leaving some young timber to mature and reseed. With our equipment we uprooted invasive underbrush which had taken over in some areas. We cleared 2 areas that had been opened up from logging and the landowner planted them in radishes. These food plots are now thriving. We seeded the trails in rye, radishes, and oats.
